Is there a date yet?

Sorry to be impatient, but I just wondered...is there any news on a likely date for Falling From The Sky yet? I am busy spreading the word about it over here and will of course keep up the good work :)Posted 5 years ago #

The interior layout is pretty much done, though it needs the final edits to be put in.
The cover is done.
Once Craig has finished editing duties and everything is in it's proper place, there will need to be a round of heavy copy editing from a few kind souls to ensure typos are at an absolute minimum (aka 0) in the version that goes to press.
So, no fixed date yet. The sooner the better, as far as I'm concerned.

fab. excessive drooling. waterproof keyboard. everybody i know- excited! complete but curious strangers even.
spread the word. pass it around. every last person on this earth... well, as many as we can get in touch with. sorry- got a little carried away there...

And a Happy New Year to everyone, but especially supporters of the Press. Is it January? Because it's 63 degrees right now in New York on January 6, where I am in the midst of editing.
The editing is actually... fun. I suppose you have to be one of those "word geeks" to get it. You know, that annoying person who posts corrections to improper grammar on various message boards. I believe "Grammar Nazi" is the preferred term. The editing can be slow-going at times because I am paying close attention to each and every story. They're all superlative, and they deserve the care.
As an editor, I have to point out that the task more difficult than the editing process is story order. I've been back and forth with Kristopher a few times about this, as I value his input (and I thank him because I know he's so damn busy with other "pressing Press" matters).
As for a release date, well, please exercise patience with me. I have to work too many hours to pay for my New York City apartment (fine, I live in Astoria, Queens, but still...) and there's the shambles of a personal life, etc. But be rest assured, "Falling From the Sky" is a priority, and we're looking at March. Will be patient, don't worry Craig. It's got to be right and I'm sure you'll do a great job :D
Besides, this gives me chance to get the word around even MORE and see if I can get some pre-orders from friends/family/colleagues/complete strangers in the street...Posted 5 years ago # -
Update!
Still no fixed date, but we're getting close. Over half of the stories have been finalized (as in, fully edited, approved by author, and laid out in the actual book). The cover is complete. Almost all layout decisions have been made (it's looking fantastic!).
